Do you have any spare time to help a dog rescue centre?

Saving Yorkshire’s Dogs (SYD) was set up in July 2014 to rescue dogs from urgent “put to sleep” situations. The centre is entirely run by volunteers giving their time and expertise whenever they can.

Funds for SYD come from regular fund raising, monthly donations  and donations when a dog is rehomed.

Extra help is always needed so please get in touch if you can assist in the following (or any other) areas –

Kennel Care Team

“Hands on” at the kennels, dog walking, grooming, playing, cleaning & feeding: This is the day to day care of the dogs. The volunteers try to make life as normal as possible with lots of human interaction.

Please get in touch if you would like to help at the kennels – the only stipulation is that you must be 18 or over for insurance purposes: Even if it’s only one day a month, that’s fine. Please use the form below to volunteer or if you would like more information and Margaret Allison, the SYD volunteer co-ordinator, will be in touch.

Fund Raisers

Can you help organise fundraising events or are you able to find out who is willing to donate materials and supplies for the upkeep, improvement and running of the kennels?

Handyman

If you are handy with a hammer and nails, a saw, a trowel, etc. and can spare a few hours from time to time then your help would be much appreciated.

To volunteer please either call Margaret on 07999 653115 or fill out the form below and we will get back to you in the near future and thank you for your support.
